The Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE China) has released the recent list of MOE LISTED ENGLISH MEDIUM  medical schools. The list has been published annually since 2007, when “Provisions for Quality Control Standards on Undergraduate Medical Education in English for International Students in China” were introduced.

The MOE China List is carefully chosen and researched by the National Western Medical Education Expert Group, which conducts continuous assessments of medical schools in China to determine their eligibility for offering MBBS programs in English.

The Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE China) has issued an updated list of 44 recognized medical schools that can teach Clinical Medicine (MBBS) in English. Previously, there were 45 medical schools on the list. Currently, there are only 44 medical schools in China that offer Medicine (MBBS) in English.

Compared to the previous list, the Ministry of Education reduced the number of seats because the majority of universities (approximately 25) could not reach their admission standards in the past five years. San-Yat San University has been removed from the most recent MOE China list.

Numerous prestigious universities, including Capital Medical University, Harbin Medical University, Kunming Medical University, Guangxi Medical University, and Xinjiang Medical University, could not fill their seats. Even a few medical schools could not commence their MBBS (English-taught) classes in the previous 4-5 years.

Only five Medical universities out of 44 have been permitted to add extra MBBS seats since they have been maintaining their education standards for a long time.

The annual cost of Clinical Medicine (MBBS) at MOE-listed medical universities ranges from 28,000 RMB to 60,000 RMB ($4000 to $8000) Per year, including tuition and lodging expenses. If we calculate in Pakistani rupees (PKR), it is 11 to 20 lakh per year including tuition and accommodation.

The MBBS Program (English Medium) consists of a Six-year Curriculum including a final year (6th year) of mandatory internship which will be performed in the affiliated hospital of the University in China. Students will get the Final degree of Bachelor in Clinical Medicine (MBBS) after the internship year.
